equipped to be sent
we want to equip men and women to be servant leaders. many disciples of Jesus serve — but do not lead. many lead — but are not servants. (Jesus said the first will be last.) we believe God has called us to live in the tension of being servants who have impact as leaders. servant leadership is not just a functional issue — it is paramount to the gospel we are declaring.
equipped . . .
the gospel is the story of holy God sending his son — so we could be made right with him — so we could be with him. in turn, he sends us to our neighbors and the nations to tell and show others there is a holy God that longs to be with them.

sLi exists to help churches in the st. louis area raise up servant leaders like Jesus — who are equipped to be sent.
